I posted this before but the threads have been moved around and I can't find my old idea anymore so sorry if anyone notices the redundancy.
How about a lottery?
Once per week there could be a lottery with one grand prize rare skin weapon/item and maybe 100 other item prizes or gold. This would only bring in a small amount of gold and items into the economy but take a lot of gold out from those that didn't win. It could be made as either character based or account based so that people are only allowed to buy a set number of lottery tickets per week (like 1-5 tickets), kind of like the treasure chests are limited to once every 30 days per character. This would prevent people with lots of gold from buying 1000 lottery tickets every week to increase their chance of winning and being greedy.
I think this would be a fun activity and could also count toward Gamer and luck titles. Imagine every friday night the drawing is held in towns across GW and one lucky winner gets a Tormented Shield and 100 others get 5 or 10k. The next week the prize is a rare mini-pet or 20 ectos. The options are endless!
There would be one blackout day per week where no tickets can be sold and that would be the drawing day. That way Anet can award the prizes based solely on the existing tickets and make sure only one grand prize gets put out there. Instead of redeeming tickets at an NPC, prizes would appear automatically in players inventory as a gift box like the birthday presents do. This would also prevent players from hoarding up tickets for several weeks in order to redeem a ton of them all at once to increase their chance of winning. There could even be a winners list posted each week in the main towns kind of like the Tournament winners trophies.

A weapons mod trader would work i think. As it is now the countless ammount of gold that changes hands with mods just geos from one player to another but a trader would start makeing the gold dissapear. Its about time weapon mods lost the "magic" and anet just accepted they are a neccecity .

I really love the idea of /dances that can be learned by various characters (Warriors rocking out like Necro men? Hell yeah!), hairstyles, and a few other cosmetic changes. Not so much for some of the broken items like purchasable goods that kill DP, but I don't think ANet would implement those anyway.

I don't agree. Actually, we have seen quite a big deflation lately. Almost everything has been lowered in price quite a bit, rougly since the hard mode update. Prices have been lowered with 30 to 50% approximately. Sometimes even more.
Examples:
Unidentified golds: used to be 1 to 1.5k, now they are 800g to 1k.
Ecto's
Black/white/red dyes
Sapphires
Vigur runes
Many greens
Domain of Anguish gemstones

I /signed all of them except the housing idea. I dont see a need or reason for houses. I wouldnt offer any actual functionality and it would just add to the bandwidth being used.
We have storage to store items, so I just dont see a ingame benefit.
We have guildhalls to hang out if need be.

Did you bother reading the date of the post to which you refer? Twenty-five months ago. Around that time, runes routinely sold for tens of platinum, and black dye and ecto were the only de facto money sinks in the game.

I like the idea of changing looks, and more + foods for in game.
Also like the house idea, but that would lead to more ppl want to get "married" in game. I'd only pay to have a house if I could "invite" someone to join in or go to someones house if they wheren't online. Since I play w/ Family members I got addicted... I mean introduced to GW
